Both. Holiday supports synchronised data and live queries, depending on the integration and business requirements.

Our environment can receive updates through webhooks or regularly poll connected systems at short intervals. This allows Holiday to maintain an up-to-date digital twin of your business while accessing external systems directly when needed.

The approach and update frequency are configured for each integration.

Holiday operates as a controlled AI environment rather than exposing its internal knowledge and capabilities to external AI agents through unrestricted MCP or API connections.

This is a deliberate security decision. Keeping AI activity within Holiday's governed environment allows us to enforce access boundaries, monitor AI behaviour and detect unauthorised or shadow AI activity.

You can still use different AI models and providers within Holiday, without giving external agents independent access to your business environment.

Holiday is model-independent. You can connect and use multiple AI models from different providers, including OpenAI's ChatGPT models, Anthropic's Claude, open-source models and models available through OpenRouter.

Different managers and specialists can use different models depending on their responsibilities, complexity and operating costs.

You are not locked into a single AI provider.

Every customer receives an entirely separate, single-tenant environment, hosted individually on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the region you choose, including Sydney, US regions and other supported locations. Your business data is stored there and is never held alongside another customer’s.

Because Holiday is model-independent, you also choose which AI providers process your requests. Where that processing happens depends on the providers you select. If Australian processing is a requirement, you can choose providers or models that offer it.

Holiday is undergoing ISO/IEC 27001 certification, with our audit scheduled for October 2026.

Security is built into the architecture. Every customer has an entirely separate environment. Access permissions are enforced in application code, independently of the AI model. Connections are encrypted, and every AI action is recorded in a full audit trail.

Our sub-processors are:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting and infrastructure in your chosen region, and user authentication (Amazon Cognito)
• Cloudflare: web delivery, edge services and secure network tunnels (Pages, Functions, Workers and Cloudflare Tunnel)
• AI model providers you select: for example OpenAI, Anthropic or providers available through OpenRouter, depending on the models assigned to your managers and specialists

Yes. Your source records always remain in your own systems. Holiday never holds back or removes data from Xero, HubSpot, Procore or any other connected system.

On request, and at the end of your contract, we provide a standard export of your audit logs, governance reports and agent configurations (job descriptions, responsibilities and permissions) at no charge. Your data remains available for export for 30 days following termination, unless we agree a different retention arrangement, as set out in our Terms of Service.

Custom exports of your normalised business data in specific formats can also be arranged. The scope and cost are agreed with you.

AI usage is passed through at the provider’s cost, with no markup from Holiday.

You control spend. You can set budgets for the whole business or for individual managers and specialists, and assign cost-efficient models to routine work and more capable models to complex analysis. Usage is visible by user and by manager, so there are no surprises.

Holiday is implemented specifically for your business, with an initial implementation deposit payable in advance and a separate allowance for AI usage credits, charged at provider cost with no markup.

Holiday establishes hardcoded security boundaries and access permissions when your environment is configured.

We do not rely solely on prompts, AI instructions or third-party AI guardrail services to determine what information an agent is authorised to access.

Its activity records can identify which manager or specialist performed an action, which systems and business records were accessed, and what information was changed.

Holiday's audit capabilities can also provide a record of the wider workflow, including:

• Which AI manager or specialist performed it.
• What task was undertaken and what information was accessed.
• What decisions and changes were made.
• Who received the results and whether changes were accepted.

This provides accountability beyond simply recording conversations with an AI model.

In benchmark testing on live business systems, using the same AI model and the same underlying data, Holiday demonstrated:

• 7.2× to 11× greater token efficiency
• 86.1% to 90.9% fewer total tokens
• 115% answer completeness, compared with 100% for the traditional workflow

We count the data points a complete, correct answer requires. Returning all of them scores 100%. If the question is “find me the invoices” and there are 7, returning all 7 scores 100%.
